Biography
Patrick deWitt has already enjoyed considerable success. His first novel, Ablutions, was a New York Times Editors’ Choice, and the film Terri, for which he wrote the screenplay, was the official selection at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. In addition to winning a GG, his second novel, The Sisters Brothers (2011), won the Rogers Writers' Trust Fiction Prize, and was shortlisted for this year's Man Booker Prize for Fiction and the Scotiabank Giller Prize. Born in Sidney, on Vancouver Island, Patrick deWitt currently lives in Portland, Oregon. In 2012, he will begin a writer’s residency in France to work on his third novel.
